VOCALIZES and ANTIPHONS : 2 VOCALIZES for solo piano and 3 Antiphons – This CD features five of Melnyk’s melodic works… mystial and ethereal in character, and creating a wonderful landscape of peace and light! All five works are fully Melodic.

The VOCALIZES were begun in the early 1990’s as Continuous Music for Solo Piano in purely Melodic Format. They represent Lubomyr’s first break-through into the “Bel Canto” Level of Continuous Piano — an extrene level of piano playing that is technically impossible for any other pianist to do! Each of these two Vocalizes is 10 to 11 minutes long.

The ANTIPHONS are Melodic Prayers for Piano and String Quartet and are quite etheral in nature,—- as one fan stated: ” like a gentle Japanese lantern floating up into the sky ….. ” The Cd contains Nrs .2, 4 and 6.
